The International Baccalaureate (IB) Mathematics Internal Assessment (IA) is a crucial component of the IB Mathematics HL or SL course, representing 20% of the final grade. To write a good Math IA, you need to follow some important steps to ensure success.

1. Choose a relevant topic: Start by selecting a topic that interests you and is related to your course. Consider the mathematical concepts, techniques and methods that you have learned and how they can be applied to a real-life scenario. You can also consider the topics you have studied in class or a personal interest you have in mathematics.

2. Research and Plan: Research the topic and gather information from reliable sources. Create an outline of the structure of your IA, including the introduction, methodology, results, discussion and conclusion. Decide what methods and techniques you will use to solve the problem, and how you will present the results.

3. Methodology: In this section, you need to explain the methods and techniques you used to solve the problem and analyze the data. This section should be clear and concise, and include any formulas, algorithms, or graphs that you used.

4. Results: Present your findings, including any graphs, charts, or tables that you created. Make sure to interpret the results, explaining what they mean and how they support your conclusions.

5. Discussion: In this section, you need to discuss your results, explaining how they relate to the problem and what they mean. Discuss the limitations of your methodology and the validity of your results.

6. Conclusion: Sum up the results and conclusions of your IA, and explain how they answer the research question. Consider the implications of your results and what they mean for future research.

7. Referencing: Make sure to include proper references and citations for any sources you used in your IA. Use the correct referencing style, as specified by your teacher.

In conclusion, writing a good IB Math IA requires careful planning, research, and attention to detail. Take your time, stay focused and remember to include all the important elements. Good luck!
